The Oasis Fishing Chair is made from lightweight alluminium so you are not going to be in need of a rest once you reach your fishing peg due to the fact that you are too tired from carrying it. It has a strapping system that binds the chair in to itself and allows you to carrying it on your back thus freeing up your hands to easily carry the rest of your fishing tackle.
It has a cup holder built in to the frame and a rod/ pole holder built in also.This means that you can eat and drink and generally do other things with your hands whilst still staying focused on your float and you can easily react when you get a bite from a fish. A metal tray also pulls out from the arm rest on which you can place anything that you might need without having to move.
The fabric is made from durable, weather proof material that can easily be cleaned with a soapy cloth and it has a padded area to support your lumbar and buttock region. This will be most welcome after you have spent 2 or 3 hours at your peg.
You can use a standard camping style light weight portable chair as a portable fishing chair however it will not provide you with all the things that the Oasis Fishing chair does and to be honest the price differential is not that great either.
